Hello fellow OBSers!
For those of you who are recently joining us, we are Lisa Allen and Melissa Taylor. Both of us are on staff at Proverbs 31 Ministries, and it is our joy and honor to welcome you to Week 2 of our Keep Showing Up OBS!
Before we dive in to what this week has in store for us, let’s chat about that Keep Showing Up Pledge we all signed last week. Remember the one where we decided we would commit to showing up for the next 5 weeks? How’s that going for everyone? For us, we both agreed that it has helped us be so much more intentional with our husbands, marriage and relationship with God. Hopefully it has helped you too!
We are back in the bridal shop again with a few girlfriends, including author Karen Ehman. We had a great discussion and can’t wait for you to tune in and join us.
Need instructions for accessing closed captioning or viewing the video transcript? We’ve got you covered!
Did any of you keep the tradition of “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue” on your wedding day? It was fun to incorporate that into this week’s video, especially considering this week’s challenge that Karen explained — am I right?
We have two resources for you this week. Here’s your Week at a Glance, which contains everything you need to know for this week in Bible study (including this week’s giveaway items!).
In today’s video, Wendy (our biblical content specialist) gave us a sneak peek into what we are digging into on Thursday. Our Bible Study Companion is an “extra” option that will help you gain a deeper insight to what we’re learning in the book. If you have some time, we encourage you to download it and check it out!

Leading us on the blog this week is guest leader Quantrilla Ard, but you can call her Quanny — all her good friends do. (And you are considered a good friend.) Quanny is new to writing for OBS, and we are so thrilled to have her leading us this week!
It’s going to be a challenging but fun week! We are ready to get started and hope you are too!
Here’s to saying “I do” to Week 2,
Lisa and Melissa
We want to chat about two things today ...
- Did you wear "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue" on your wedding day? If so, tell us about it!
- How are you feeling about this week's challenge to NOT take offense (as mentioned in today's video)? Do you think this will be something simple or difficult for you?
We can’t wait to hear your responses! (Remember! You are entered into this week’s giveaway EVERY time you comment on the blog this week! Good luck!)
