Hey friend, Anna Currin back for Week 4 of our study!
I can’t believe we’re already halfway through! I’m so thankful you’re sticking with us.
Also know that this is a process. Some chapters may open up raw areas in your life, so take advantage of the freedom to press pause and spend the extra time needed to work through those emotions.
And speaking of process, that’s exactly what you're going to hear Lysa, Melissa and Kendra talk about in today’s video, so let’s check it out!

Friends, as discussed in today's video, when we view the pain we feel during the process as God’s way of preparing us for His promise, it changes things! As much as we’d like to push the fast forward button, rushing the process to relieve ourselves from the pain can actually cause more harm than good. If we try to numb our pain, or if God gave us the relief we desired before we’re ready, we’d miss out on the process of being molded, prepared and strengthened for what’s ahead. We’d be robbed of completeness.
Instead, like our verse of the week reminds us, we need to:
“Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” (James 1:4, NIV)
So as difficult as it may be, let’s not rush the process. Let’s dig in this week to learn to trust that God is using our painful times of refining as a way to prepare us to shine more like Him.
Anna
